Cash Machine = Free Money?

Last night I went to a cash machine and withdrew 锟?0, the machine gave me 3 twenty pound notes (锟?0) I did it again and the same thing happened, then my friend had a go and it happened again. I wondered if anyone knew where we stand with this, (the extra money hasn%26#039;t been taken from our account). Can the banks trace it? Will they ask for it back? And do we have to give it to them? I mean it%26#039;s their mistake! Any help would be appreciated!

Where is the cash machine??? I want some... The bank will be able to identify when the machine went faulty, they will probably deduct it from you account. You know what the banks are like, and now with everyone claiming back unfair charges the bank will want it back.

Cash Machine = Free Money? loanOk but you still never said where the machine was lol Report It

|||yes they can trace it and ask for it back|||lol, this is your choice. If you have great integrity I think you would be best to let the controller of that particular ATM aware of it. If you%26#039;re a sneaky person that doesn%26#039;t care about doing what%26#039;s right, enjoy the cash!|||You%26#039;re a lying little cow aren%26#039;t you.|||It has happened on numerous occasions due to incorrect loading of the cassettes.

The Bank will ask you for a refund but will not press you.

Given the profits recently announced, why should they?|||It depends what state you are in! Where is it located?|||Yes they can trace it. yes they can ak for it back. And yes they may deduct it from your accout when they find the error. Have gotten extra back from the machine and got a note in the mail saying they took that same amount from the account.|||You say %26quot;I mean it%26#039;s their mistake%26quot; as though that absolves you of any reason to be honest. Does it? If you fill out a deposit slip for 锟?0, but accidentally hand the bank teller 锟?00, woulappy if thd you be he bank kept the extra 20 quid and said %26quot;Well it was your mistake%26quot;!

Quite apart from that, the bank may well be able to trace the notes, and they also have video footage of you making the withdrawl. Notice the little camera above the ATM machine?

If you KNOW that you were not caught on camera looking surprised or pleased, when they do eventually catch up with you, you may get away with it. But if there is any chance you reacted when you got the extra cash, that will be evidence that you knew what had happened, and you might well be charged with theft.|||Gee- how refreshing to hear from someone SO honest! Yes, dear that is definitely sarcasm! As you very well know, the money you got out of the machine was drawn from SOMEONE%26#039;S account. How would you like it if a defective machine was doling out YOUR money to someone else? I%26#039;m guessing you would be screaming bloody murder. Just because it was the bank%26#039;s mistake, does not entitle you to keep the money, and if you have an honest bone in your body, you will give the money back to the bank and tell them what happened. In other words, do the right thing.|||Yes they will just take it from your account. A much better way to get free money and a nice house, is to go to Dover find a nice police man talk goibide gok to him.He will put you on a bus to croydon.Their you will be asked what sort of house you would like, and how much you wish to sue the Government for........................................|||it happened by mistake, could you chek your account again fore awhile if not. you my call any bank telling them the metter. and then pay back to bank or it must be taken from your A/C later on.
