Also, the Cash Cab apparently never leaves the trendy or touristy areas of Manhattan (midtown, Village, etc). So if you live uptown or deep downtown you will never see it. Also, it seems like you need to act like a tourist for it to pick you up. It never seems to pick up native new yorkers (probably cuz we would have him drive us all the way up to the Bronx just to get the chance to make more money!!)

So try flagging every yellow van taxi you see.|||I doubt that the contestants are picked up randomly. They are always headed to a known restaurant or to a bar. Nobody is ever headed to the podiatrist to have their corns cut, visit someone in the hospital or to their mother-in-law%26#039;s apartment to play mah jong.|||on the Ron and Fez show, Ben Bailey said most of the contestants are picked up somewhere near Colombus Circle and usually head downtown towards the Villiage.
