Can theft of cash on background check jeopardize someones chances of getting into nursing school?

can %26#039;theft of cash%26#039; in background check jeopardize entrance into nursing program?



there was NEVER a THEFT of cash, however this is on my background check. the story goes. i%26#039;m working at target for two weeks and they put me in cashier during christmas season. so these two women walk out with a television set, blame it on me as a theft. i never stole anything, in fact i even paid for the $100.00 for the tv... how is that THEFT when you paid for some strangers theft? right now i%26#039;m trying to fix it, but people who talk to me hear the word theft and my credibility is destroyed. if nothing else happens, what are my options? get my parents lawyer? someone give me ideas of how to correct or clear this mess? the company is target and with choicepoint workplace background checks. it%26#039;s ruining my chances of getting into nursing school and i%26#039;m only 19 years old. i should have never applied if i knew this was going to happen or be taken advantage of.. i have to wait 7 years for it to actually cle

If you were fired by Target and not charged criminally, there%26#039;s no reason for concern because there would be no theft conviction on your record.



If you were fired by Target, charged criminally and convicted and you need to wait 7 years to expunge convictions in your state, you need to convince the school and future employers that you learned from the mistakes.



Perhaps one may need to reconsider a career where trust with handling medications or ill people does not have a major component.
