The managers of the restaurant I work at are asking one of my fellow employees to pay back $100 that went missing from the register on Saturday. There were 4 different people using the cash drawer over the course of the day, so there is no way to say who was running the register when it was missing, or what happened.

I know that laws are very different in each state. I live in Michigan. Can any of you direct me to a site that explains the laws involved here? Is it illegal to ask her to pay the difference out of her own pocket? I think this is very unfair.

They can NOT ask you to pay the difference out of your pocket. Period! They CAN deduct the amount from your paycheck, but may not deduct anything that will take you below minimum wage for the pay period. The best way to avoid that situation from happening again is to not let anybody use another persons register. When I managed our Pizza Hut, we logged on and off everytime another cashier got on the register.

Loan to Value calculations are then based on the contract price, buyer brings any down payment and cash to close the deal. If the offer is too good to be true, it usually IS.

For example, the house is worth 100k but the seller is selling it for 80k. You then tell the seller that you will buy it for 100k if they give you 20k outside of escrow. Usually lenders will allow up to 3% of the house price to be credited to the seller for closing cost, which is legal and what your friend is talking about.

The legal way is to buy an undervalued property and get a cash out refi or a home equity line of credit once you have purchased the property.

You can ask them your question and they should be able to help you.

You have several choices.

People are also doing hand-rolling cigar bars as well, they serve as a nice distraction so your guests have something else to do instead of just guzzling and dancing. First find out if BART will accept credit card payments for a long-term BART ticket. If they do, then you can apply for a credit card with a rewards option. Not all credit cards pay good rewards, and if you use the credit card as a means of borrowing money, the interest cost will be far more than any reward you earn. The Citi dividend card pays back cash provided you spent enough on the card and you pay the balance in full each month. If you don%26#039;t pay the balance in full, the interest cost will be more than the cash you get back. The Costco card from American Express pays cash back, but you have to join Costco to get the card. There are others. You have to investigate, and be sure you get a card that does not have an annual fee.

See, I currently got my job and I work in a pharmacy. Nobody knows how to use the register correctly. What we do is we basically do the math for the change in my head.. I can do the math I just don%26#039;t want to subtract numbers all day. What I would like is some help on how to use the cash register.

Let me give an example of the register.

There are seperate numbers (gray) on the left hand side of the register. I basically enter the amount of the item on the register. In the middle there is numbers (1-10) with an add and subtract key. On the right basically there are other keys which I hit if its an over the counter item or a taxable item. Then last there is the green key which opens the draw after I enter there amount. Does anyone know how to do this so the register will basically do the math for me?

What we do is basically we skip over the add/subt key%26#039;s and just do the numbers in our head. I don%26#039;t really want to do math the whole day since it gets very tiredning. Thanks!

In California, you used to actually list your landlord when you file taxes, in order to get your renter%26#039;s credit. Perhaps you should check with the local tax authorities to see if your landlord is paying taxes. My guess is that they are not.

It sure can! Unless they provide a receipt. It doesn%26#039;t matter what form your payment takes when you pay rent, as long as you get documentation that you paid it. SIGNED by someone. And keep those records safe!!|||You need to ask them why they can%26#039;t take a money order instead of the check. A lot of landlords will not take checks because they may bounce. A money order is just as good as cash. If you hand over cash GET A SIGNED RECEIPT OR THEY CAN SAY YOU DID NOT PAY THEM, ALSO HAVE A DATE ON IT VERY IMPORTANT. If you have to take your landlord to court because a lot of them do not like to give back security deposits you can have everything in writing with the landlords signature. Protect yourself get EVERYTHING IN WRITING WITH A SIGNATURE FROM THE PERSON. Do not hand over any money until you get everything in writing. If your landlord will not agree to this I suggest you move something is wrong.
